How great is the feeling of walking into your home and hearing "As salaamu alaykum"!
Or turning to your mate and knowing that he first loves you for the sake of Allaah. Or knowing that they want the best for you in this life AND your hereafter.
Many people don't understand or realize the beautiful aspects of a Muslim marriage or a Muslim household. There are rights and privileges given to one another, allowances and excuses, that support the unity of the family, all based on one foundation. Islam.
A muslim couple are not distant or unemotional. There is not tyrant of the household or oppression. There is beauty and understanding, strive for education and knowledge and unspoken love that transcends most love. Oppression is a characteristic not in the Muslim household. There is kindness and support in encouraging them towards goodness and discouraging them from evilness.
Abuse that is found in homes and families exists without allegiance to religion and are usually based on cultural beliefs, based on power, based on psychological issues or a flaws in their character. It is no longer acceptable to generalize the Muslim household into these values that do not represent Islam or what Islam teaches. Abuse exists beyond religion, because that person is an abuser, regardless of who they are, what race they are or what religion they practice. It knows no face, color or creed.
The scholars of Islaam speak out against these violences in the homes, towards the children and toward one another. The persons who try to deceive and further spread hatred of Islam with propagation are solely to blame for these claims.

as saying: A believing man should not hate a believing woman; it he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another.
Verily, those who accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are good believers, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter, and for them will be a great torment, --
On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their legs or feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.

The Prophet said, "Allah has forbidden for you, (1) to be undutiful to your mothers*, (2) to bury your daughters alive, (3) to not to pay the rights of the others (e.g. charity, etc.) and (4) to beg of men (begging). And Allah has hated for you (1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others, (2) to ask too many questions, (in disputed religious matters) and (3) to waste the wealth (by extravagance).
