As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu yaa Muslimaat,

Anyone who has ever dealt (or dealing) with domestic violence, assisted and/or supported someone dealing with domestic violence or just knew someone going through this terrible trial understands how difficult it is rebuild your life, trying to get back "up" on your feet after being beaten "down" - whether verbally, emotionally, physically or even sexually. It is a shameful, disgusting event, embarrassing to the victim and scarring to the children.  This societal mishap goes on not just in the Muslim community but globally regardless of race, age, gender, nationality, religion, creed or color.

Muslimaat An Nisaa has been around for several years assisting Muslim women in the Baltimore/Washington DC Metro Area and Region for 25 years and counting. Please lend your support to them through their struggles of maintaining proper housing and resources for our women to learn self sufficiency, rebuilding stability and reestablish trust in their lives.
